Making Every Contact Count (MECC) training is designed for anyone working or volunteering in the City of London or the London Borough of Hackney.

The training aims to build confidence, knowledge, and skills for effective conversations on health and wellbeing. Participants will reflect on their experiences, identify key conversation skills, review MECC principles, and explore resources for supporting others in improving their health.

Upon completion of the training, participants will:

  • Understand factors influencing residents’ health and wellbeing.
  • Be prepared to engage in short, impactful conversations on health issues.
  • Possess a range of effective communication skills for meaningful conversations.
  • Locate information, tools, and services to aid individuals in enhancing their health and wellbeing.

The standard 2-hour sessions are conducted online via Zoom, combining theory, case studies, and interactive elements.
