Barbican Association Communications Working Party: An Introduction

The BA Communications Working Party was formed in April 2026 to review and improve how the Barbican Association communicates with residents.

Our core purpose is to make communications clearer, more useful, and easier to navigate, ensuring each channel has a distinct and appropriate role. While the initial focus was on the rebrand and repositioning of the BA newsletter and Barbican Life magazine, our work has expanded to address the wider communications structure. This includes:

  • The role and content of the BA and Barbican Life websites.
  • The relationship between Association communications and independent resident-led channels.
  • Consistency in tone, design, and branding.
  • Clearer privacy and GDPR compliance across all platforms.
  • More regular and transparent reporting from working groups.

We are taking a practical, resident-focused approach. Our aim is to ensure that information is presented clearly, helps residents understand estate life, and supports calm, reliable, and trustworthy communication.

We welcome feedback from all residents. If you have views on what is working well, what is not, or what we should prioritise, please get in touch with the BA Comms Working party at alessandro.r.ferrari@gmail.com.

Your input helps us shape communications that better serve the whole Barbican community.
